Antibes
The flu really knocked me down on Thursday: by the time I got to Antibes from Nice (as such an easy 20 minutes on a local train) in the afternoon, I felt so sick & tired that I ended up taking a 3,5h nap. After which I had recovered just about enough energy to haul my ass to the closest convenience store for grabbing something to eat. Got there just in time before they closed down, but the ready made salad, fresh baguette, slice of cheese and fruits were actually a really good dinner - especially for 9€. And that compensated nicely some budget-wise blown-out days…
Good thing I had taken some TV-shows on the laptop, New Girl provided much needed entertainment for the night before hitting the sack again.
In the morning, before hopping on a TGV to Aix-en-Provence, I managed to walk to the old town and quickly check out the Musée Picasso, but have to admit that I was still too tired to focus on the artworks really. So in the end did not see really that much of Antibes at all, but at least got some much needed rest. Seemed like a nice little town, but that’s about all I can say… :/
(Later during the day while chilling in the hotel room in Aix, I created another preset in Lightroom for the Antibes photos - the pastel postcard look seemed to suit the lovely colors of the buildings and soft overcast light nicely… Really love how quick & easy it is to create different looks for photos in LR4!)
